Server $2.13 Hourly + Tips
As a Server, you will be responsible for providing service to each guest courteously, quickly and efficiently with a sincere, positive, pleasant and enthusiastic attitude. Duties of this position will include serving guests, suggestive selling, delivering food, receiving payment, accurately counting back change, and being responsible for all transactions. A qualified applicant must have excellent communication skills, the willingness to work with others as a team, knowledge of beer and cocktails, able to lift 15-30 pounds, and exert fast-paced mobility between the dining room and kitchen for periods of up to 6 hours in length.
Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate effectively and understand the predominant language(s) of our guests
- Basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions
- Possess basic math skills and the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask efficiently
- 1-3 Years of Server/Bartending Experience
- 1 Year of Server/Bartending Fine Dining
- Provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all guests.
- The primary objective is to ensure guests have a great time and meal, making them want to return again and again.
- Welcome and greet guests to make them feel comfortable, letting them know you’re there to personally take care of them.
- Inform guests of specials and menu changes.
- Make genuine recommendations based on what guests may enjoy.
- Answer questions about the food, beverages, and other restaurant functions and services.
- Take food and beverage orders from guests and enter them in the point-of-sale system, which relays orders to the kitchen and bar.
- Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen and bar to guests promptly.
- Perform side work at the start and end of each shift, as required by your service station assignment.
- Maintain clean service areas throughout the shift.
- Monitor and observe guests’ dining experience, ensuring satisfaction with food and service, and respond promptly and courteously to any requests.
- Prepare the final bill, present the check to the guest, accept payment, process credit card charges, or make change (if applicable).
- Be ready and willing to assist fellow servers as situations arise.
- Be ready and willing to assist the bus person with clearing and resetting tables.
- Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return.
- Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
